Dear Brothers and Sisters of District Council 77,
I am deeply honored to introduce myself as your new Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer of IUPAT District Council 77. This position is not just a title, it’s a responsibility I take to heart, and I intend to serve you with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to the IUPAT’s Mission and Values.
For those of you who may not know me yet, I am a 15-year, second generation member of this District Council from Local 226 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and an Industrial painter by trade. I have served as a Job Steward, Recording Secretary, Delegate, Business Representative, Director of Servicing and Assistant Business Manager before this role.
Our mission at DC 77 has always been clear, to protect and advance the rights of working people, raise standards in our trades, and create opportunities for every member to succeed. I intend to continue building on that foundation by focusing on what matters most, our members.
I will always put our members first. That means listening before leading, communicating openly, and ensuring that every decision made by this office is guided by our shared values: integrity, accountability, solidarity, and respect. We will continue organizing the unorganized, strengthening our internal unity, building union power and growing our voice across the South.
Together, we’ll continue to expand opportunities for our members and their families, strengthen our relationships with contractors and community partners, and ensure that every IUPAT member has a safe job site, fair wages, and the respect they deserve.
I look forward to working alongside all of you in our union halls, on your jobsites, and through house call visits as we continue to build a stronger, more united DC 77.
I would also like to personally invite you to our Annual General Membership Meeting on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10 am, to be held at the IUPAT District Council 77 Office, 5403 Dividend Drive, Decatur, GA 30035. This meeting is an opportunity to hear important updates, learn about the direction of our District Council, and connect with your fellow members. I hope you will join us.
